About Me

I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 14 years of counselling and psychotherapy experience. I have expertise in the realms of mental health awareness, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. I have worked in numerous healthcare/clinical settings ranging from hospitals, community & not-for-profit organizations, government, private sector and on interdisciplinary teams. I have clinical social work experience in tertiary mental health hospital and forensic settings, such as the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), as well as, in acute care/ general hospital settings; where I worked as a Social Worker in the Outpatient Mental Health department and Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Michael Garron Hospital

(Toronto East Health Network formerly Toronto East General Hospital). 

I provide psychotherapy services using various treatment modalities to diverse populations. I have worked with individuals, couples, groups and families. I have helped men, women and individuals from different age groups, backgrounds and cultural groups with a wide range of difficulties.

With respect to educational credentials, I graduated from a two year Master of Social Work (MSW) program from the University of Toronto. My clinical practicums were completed at CAMH. My educational background also includes an Honours Bachelor Degree, specializing in Criminology and Sociology, from the University of Toronto as well as a post-graduate Diploma in Career and Work Counselling.

I am committed to ongoing learning, education and professional development. I have completed the Fundamentals in Psychoanalytic Perspectives program through the Toronto Psychoanalytic Society. Currently, I am a candidate in the Advanced Training Program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ATPPP). I am accredited with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). I also hold a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation from the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA Canada).
